Shutters protect rooms from light and heat. Blinds are made out of PVC plastic or aluminium given their lightness and resistance to wear.
A belt is used to open and close the shutters. When you open the roller blind, it rolls around a drum hidden in the upper part of the window.
The belts become worn with use. They are then unable to bear the weight of the shutter and the shutter ends up dropping.
You can easily replace the worn belt just by following steps that are explained in the AMIG belt packs.
1. Roll the belt around the winder of the shutter drum.
2. Stretch out the belt to the lower winder.
3. Turn the winder until it is tense and attach the belt to the drum fastener.
You should use the widest possible belt that fits the roller and winder. The broader the belt, the better the grip and the longer the shutter will last.
